Hi from Northern Ireland
Wed Jan 24, 2018 5:09 pm
Hi,
My name is Liam, and I work in education.
I enjoy using PowerPoint to try and create engaging activities and games for my students, mostly for use on an interactive whiteboard.
Security within college systems means macros often don't work, so I have fun trying to create workarounds.
I have looked at some of the creations on here and think it will be a great source of inspiration!
Happy PowerPointing!
Liam.

Welcome to PPC, Liam!
Sorry to hear that you’re unable to enjoy the macro-enabled games here. If you can, try downloading them outside the restrictions of the college system, like at home on a stand alone laptop that hopefully you may be allowed to bring in and hook up to a projector for group games. If all else, at least check them out at home or wherever that will allow macros.
I’m glad to hear that this place has already inspired you to come up with great alternatives with animations. The creators here keep finding more great things PowerPoint can create. We hope to see some of your work on here soon!

Hi Liam, you are most welcome!
I have a series of educational PowerPoint templates amongst other things on my other website Keyfax.net which you might be interested in. They were originally made on PPT 2003 to make simple interactive e-learning packages but some could be used as stand-alone exercise activities. Don't buy any from the site but let me know if there are any templates that you want through the contact page. They may not match with what you want, so don't feel obliged.

Thank you for the welcome.
Yes johnr, I am able to enjoy the work here fully. It is only when I am creating for work that I have to abandon macros!
Rusnakcreative, Keyfax.net has a lot to interest for me. Unfortunately I think I spent too much time in Horyd House! But I will return!
Regards,
Liam.

You're welcome.
Just for the record rusnakcreative does the macros, I do the Keyfax stuff and PowerPoint games
You've got to be careful in that Horyd House!

Welcome, Liam!
These days, I've shifted towards making macro-based projects, so I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to utilize most of my recent works. Thankfully johnr does a lot these days without macros, so you'll probably gain a great deal of inspiration from his works. I see you're already intrigued by his massive Horyd House project.
