game - MAKE A MEMORY GAME ON POWERPOINT - 3-Part Video Tutorial Empty MAKE A MEMORY GAME ON POWERPOINT - 3-Part Video Tutorial

After an interesting dialogue between myself and Yahretszy, I eventually developed a way of making a 'matching pair' memory game for as many pairs of objects that will fit on a slide.

I subsequently made a video tutorial of how this method works which I split into three parts to stop it being too much to take-in in one go. They are on You Tube but not made public quite yet.

I have also posted a 3-level memory game on the Games section that you can try: MEMORY GAME

Here are the videos: (comments welcome)

Thumbs up for a well-done 3-part video on how to make a matching game!

Thank you!

I'm working on a different kind of memory game at the moment which I'll post when it's ready.

game - MAKE A MEMORY GAME ON POWERPOINT - 3-Part Video Tutorial Empty Matching game

Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:51 pm
Can this be used to match a word with it's definition or do the two images or words have to match exactly?  How would I do something like this to match a word with the correct definition?

Hi AMY102019 - Welcome to the Forum!

You can use words and definitions quite easily. You will just need to make your cards with the words & definitions as 'pictures' (jpeg or png) and save them to a folder.

If you don't want to start from scratch, you can download the game from my website as a template and use the 'Change picture' function by right-clicking on an image and changing one image to the picture with the word, and the matching image to the picture with the definition.

Hope this helps. Come back if I can assist any further.

game - MAKE A MEMORY GAME ON POWERPOINT - 3-Part Video Tutorial Empty Why won't the tiles disappear?

Sun Dec 29, 2024 9:16 am
Hi! This is EXACTLY the game I need, thank you!
I would love to take your advice (from 2019) to adjust the game that you've created (version 2, actually, with 36 tiles) by substituting pix of the grandkids, and making an exciting Holiday game for them, but for some reason, when I play your game and get a match, the tiles do not disappear.
Can you think of any reason why that feature is not working?
Thanks!
Asher

Hi asher dicker, It's hard to say at the moment what's happened, but one thing to look at is what is triggering what. Perhaps a quick check on parts 2 & 3 of the video might help. Is your Animation Pane looking exactly like the video example?

If you don't have any luck, feel free to send me a link to the game on Dropbox, or similar, and I'll have a look.
