Step Through Animation Pane

If you are at all familiar with Excel VBA code, it allows you to press F8 to step through the code to watch what happens. I haven't gotten into PPT VBA code yet, but it would be soo cool if there were a similar way to step through the Animation Pane one action at a time. As it is, you Start it Playing and off it goes. But, if there is an error, it's hard to tell where the mistake was made.

Anyone know of an Add On code that will enable such a Step Through process. Thanks in advance.

I tried looking for a step through animation process in PowerPoint, though I couldn't find exactly exactly what you're looking for.

Two workarounds I found:
- In the animation pane, you can "Play from" a specific animation in the pane. That'll skip any animation before that animation, but it'll still play the animations after.
- Temporarily make all animations start on click, which does give you the step through on click. Obviously not ideal since this requires altering the animations.

Hopefully someone else here can find a better solution!
