Haiii I'm Moth

Hello, I'm CopheeMoth (people usually call me Moth).
I've been using PowerPoint ever since I was a young kid (my earliest PPT "game" is from 2012). I've made some animations, games and quizzes, but I never really took PPT seriously. Though that doesn't mean I didn't put any effort into what I made!
I discovered the PowerPoint Heaven website and forums around 2016, and was very disappointed to find that while most of the resources have remained, the members have left or become inactive years prior. Something similar happened to a lot of the "PowerPoint OS/Virtual PC" communities too. It's nice to see there's still a community for creative PowerPoint uses out there.
Right now I'm planning to remake some of my old games (especially a mouse maze one called "The Castle"), though it's less out of desire to become a "PowerPoint developer", and more so finishing up some projects that I promised to myself I would make when I was a kid.
I might showcase some of my old stuff later if I manage to overcome some of the "cringe factor"

Hello Moth, and welcome to the forum!
Things have been a bit quiet here lately so it's great to have a new active member.
It'll be great to see some of your games, old and new! There's no such thing as a 'cringe factor' as far as we are concerned.
Also, thank you for pointing out the outdated link to the forum on my website. I've updated it now.

Have you seen what I've done in PPT so far at all yet? I think you might be impressed, if your PC can handle RTX Graphics.

Hello, I'll be sure to check it out sometime.
By the way, sorry for not posting since introducing myself. My laptop's 2nd internal drive bay (which had a Windows drive in it) broke unexpectedly, and I'm not able to use Windows anymore.
My main system is Linux, and while I could just use Windows as my main system, I'd really like to keep Linux for performance reasons.
I've tried using a Windows virtual machine with MS Office, but since my laptop is quite old, it didn't perform very well.
I've also tried using the Wine tool for Linux, but versions of MS Office past 2007 didn't work, and a lot of my stuff relies on the newer versions.
Installing or using Windows on an external drive didn't work out either.
I'm going to be more or less idle until I fix the drive bay, or find some other workaround, but after that I'll be back with actual PPT content!

It's perfectly okay; take all the time you need in order to get back to our beloved platform the way you do best. No rush!I'm going to be more or less idle until I fix the drive bay, or find some other workaround, but after that I'll be back with actual PPT content!
