In Progress: Doompoint
Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:38 pm
I spent countless hours squeezing in free time to work on this project, but it still has its flaws. The game consists of 67 slides, but is still less than a quarter of the amount of slides I know it would amount to if I ever found a way to finish it. Only the first 5 maps of the first episodes are in this game.
Rules:
There are no lives, if you miss, you go to the game over screen and start over
Click the enemies to shoot them, the amount of shots needed to kill an enemy varies between which kind you are shooting at
Screenshots:
Alright, here's the game

If it doesn't work, please tell me!

Forgot To Mention This...

I forgot to mention that the game doesn't work on office 365, only the Powerpoint app. This is mainly to to the usage of the "action" function, which is strangely only in the Powerpoint app. Have fun!

Hi Myles, welcome to PPC! Unfortunately, I am unable to access your file as it is stored on your school's sharepoint, that the rest of us doesn't have access to. If you could, please upload it through another hosting platform such as google drive, or dropbox? Looking forward to giving this a try!

Thanks! I updated the link, this is my first time doing something like this so I still have no idea if it will work

Nope, you need to go into the settings for the file on Google Drive, then choose to create a view link instead of an edit one. Same for Dropbox now too. Man, I hate that, why don't they just make it easy, like Google Photos does?!

Yeah man I wish they would make it easier, anyways, I updated the link, I have a little more confidence that this one might actually work

It says:
File is in owner's Bin.
This file might be deleted soon.
There are also two links-now. I tried both of them, and they each said the file might be deleted soon because it's in your bin-folder. If you restore the newest one, this shouldn't any-longer be a looming threat of ephemerality.

What really frustrates me is that Google doesn't have any sure-fire way of telling you that your file is easily accessible by everyone, someone, or a specific user sub-set. Google really needs better transparency-tools. Just look at all the extraneous extra information Facebook Events and Group-pages have that most, if not all, users already know by now! Come-on, Google, get with the times; am I right-though?
