CHRISTMAS CARD GAME 2022
Mon Dec 12, 2022 5:17 pm
Here is my Christmas card game for 2022.
It's a word puzzle game where you need to stop some moving letters in the correct position to spell out a well-known Christmas phrase.
There's an easy version and a harder version
No video, but here are some screen shots. You can download from here: CHRISTMAS CARD GAME
It's been a bit of a rush job, so may be a glitch or two. Please let me know if you spot any.
Season's greetings to all, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I'm excited for a new Pyrotech 202[3? I think is how that numbering-system works?]

Hmmm...I hadn't thought of doing one - but now you mention it!
They are usually for the New Year - so it would be 2023
Just hope I've got time to work out some new fireworks!!

I can't figure out what the Christmas phrase could be because the letters are constantly in motion - never mind clicking circles!
A simple slide with motionless letters jumbled up will already pose a huge challenge for me to figure out the phrase.
To even out the score, below is a puzzle of my own: you have to guess what I wrote in Polish without using ANY form of help. Just simply take a guess considering the season's occassion plus the fact that Polish uses 30-50% more words to what is in English.

WESOŁYCH ŚWIĄT BOŻEGO NARODZENIA!

I
I get what you're saying about how the phase might be too obscure for many people. So...I've added a screen tip to the first slide where you can hover over the text for the phrase to appear - if you need to see it.
As for the Polish message, could you really be using 4 words to say Happy/Merry Christmas?! Is there a direct translation of those 4 words? I'd be interested in knowing what the words actually say. I suspect that there may be some grammatical / tense type issues, but I don't know.

You got it John. The direct translation word for word would sound like: Merry Holidays of God's Birth. So "Holidays of God's Birth" = Christmas. You've made it so much easier in English - LOL!
BTW - there was absolutely no chance of me getting the phrase without your help. Never heard it - is it typically British?
