The Beerhunter

Inspired by the classic movie: The Deerhunter and the resulting classic pub/bar/party game The Beerhunter, here's a PowerPoint tribute to the latter as seen in my Making Videos post.
Here's the You Tube video: NOW REPLACED - SEE BELOW
I haven't made the video or the game public yet and I might change the original movie theme music if the copyright owner puts ads onto it. (I'm not sure if it fits anyway).
Play the game from here: THE BEERHUNTER (Please download before playing). UPDATED VERSIONS NOW AVAILABLE - SEE BELOW
As a little bit of advice: if you think you can win by memorising the right cans to click on - you'll be making a mistake.

Interesting usage of macro-less randomization here. This game taught me about slide background fill, and now I'm thinking about how that can be used elsewhere.

Slide background fill is fantastic for hiding things or sheilding things to stop them being clicked. I'm using it at the moment on a game with a background picture with some trees. Freehand drawing around the tree trunks with silde background fill allows me to place figures (zombies in this case) behind them but visible . I'm also using little jagged shapes with slide background fill at the feet of the zombies to blend them in with whatever they are standing on (grass etc). Here's a small snip.

Next game is zombie peekaboo? Seriously though, that’s really cool!

A re-vamped video of The Beerhunter is now on You Tube with new music and added sound effects in the game.
The game is now available on my website where you can download PPTX and PPSX versions from HERE
I've also just obtained a regular feature in my workplace's fortnightly e-zine put together by our 'People Group' where I can post a picture of a game with a brief description and a link for people to play it at work during any short breaks they may get. This is the first featured game in the e-zine which was published today.
