POT BLACK & SUPERBOWL

As I'm going to be away for the next three weeks, probably with only intermittent internet access, I'm posting a couple of animations of two bigger games that I'm working on at the moment.

The first has the working title of 'Pot Black' - the title of a very old BBC TV snooker programme where a commentator once famously said:
"And if you're watching in black and white, the pink ball is behind the green"

This game has quite a few development options which I'll need to give some thought to.

No sound effects for this one yet, but there will be. And the balls move more smoothly in the game than on the video.





The next game 'Superbowl' was inspired by Jade's bowling game and Mibo's 'Toss' game.

Some of the graphics need a bit more work, but I'm happy with the actual bowling animation.

This one has sound effects as well.

I'll be continuing the work on them when I'm back.

Both games look amazing and I can't wait to check them out when you release them! I'm also glad to hear that one of our creators helped inspire you to create the bowling game with another inspiration from another awesome creator. I love how we can be inspired by something and then be able to create our own creation which will then inspire others to create their own creations and so on. Viva la creation!

Side note: Superbowl is the name of a really big American Football event, like World Cup but just the two best American Football teams play. They are very protective of their name "Superbowl" to the point where everyone refers it as "The Big Game" for fears of being sued by the NFL. One of our late night comedians one year called it the "Superb Owl" to get around the legalities, was funny. Anyways, enjoy your time away, we're gonna miss you!

We get the said sporting event on TV over here (3+ hours of it live at silly o'clock in the morning) but I didn't realise the NFL was that protective. Our equivalent is the FA Cup. (The name doesn't quite have the same ring to it though I must admit).

But... American football does have a lot to answer for by making people call proper football 'soccer' - Urrrrh!!

Wow, "Superb Owl" actually seems like it's going to be INCREDIBLE!  I especially love the built in ambient noise, it definitely sounds beautifully realistic!

Will the game have anything similar to "The JadeJohnson Games Smart Actions Menu™" that'll let you connect, DIRECTLY!  To your favourite social media sites and other online services?

Re "The JadeJohnson Games Smart Actions Menu", I don't have any plans to do anything like this at the moment.  I find the design and development of games challenging enough as it is!. (It must have cost you a fortune to get the Trade Marks for all the products you've developed).

I found it quite recently. I can't remember how I found it but I'm so glad I did.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that site!  Hilariously,

1. I had never thought of looking there whilst making "JayBowl",

and

2. I TOO don't remember how I found it EITHER!

I guess it's just "Destiny For All" then, maybe?
