Powerpoint creations not made by us

I was wondering if we could start an ongoing thread that collects the plethora of powerpoint creations we found on the internet, but the creator didn't participate on this site.

If site admin found this to fit more in other sections of the forum, well, you know what to do, I think. Let's start! Also, dont forget to put the source link!

Starting off with, probably the most clean maze game I've ever seen, ever. "Don't Touch The Void" by JB Squiddy, trailer and source are embed below.

I just bought the "Don't Touch The Void" by JB Squiddy. Had to see and try it.

It's a very slick maze game - ideas, graphics, colors, sounds and the backtrack music turn this "just another PPT maze game" into something really cool. I want to learn from this guy. The presentation and slides are password protected and all animations hidden from sight, but the result I see is what I like.

For anyone interested - it's EUR 1,95 for 2 versions of the game - regular and slowed down to pass the levels more easily.

I do love the trailer for this thing!  But not the price: the best things in life are free!  Sorry to sound cheap, but I come from a clan whom all believe-in, practice, and provide; convenience and simplicity.

Now THIS guy, totally deserves some love!  Where did he even find those flash-to-.exe games up with which to load this awesome thing?!

Derailing topic for a bit here, but Jarek can you record the gameplay walkthrough of Don't Touch The Void? I'm uh... broke, lmoa.
Also fine by me if you don't feel comfortable enough to do it though.

Anyways rerailing the topic. Check out "Adventure" by GoryPixels which I stumbled upon in itch.io (I wish this was a fully fleshed-out game, it teases so much yet shows so little, I cant help but wonder what is out there just waiting to be found)

Yeah, despite the ascetic graphics it's got appeal and (seems like) playability.

Maybe we too can come up with our own plot, even lesser graphics and elevated playability?

With our prowess in PPT game making all it depends on now is only the power of our CONCEPT with just a little dusting of near-genius and a compelling determination to put it all in motion.

Banner for an "osu beatmap" (read:level), credited in the description mainly because it was made in Powerpoint. It seems like there still are a lot of people who underestimated what kind of power the point has... wait no wait what?

Any updates to this game? The minimalist style surprisingly works really well! I agree I would like to see more gameplay and story from this little teaser video!

Continuing with showing other PowerPoint creations unaffiliated with this site and/or its members, there was a channel with a website dedicated to PowerPoint games, last activity being over a decade ago!

Most of this guy's PowerPoint games seem to have been themed around Naruto, but for the most part these seem ahead of their time (Dating back to over 15 years ago).
His website had a lot of games made by him and some friends, simply very old games (One has activity from 2006!).

Unfortunately, the website is not standing anymore, but you can visit the website through a few archives in the Wayback Machine. However, another unfortunate circumstance comes here as most of the games were not archived, only a few being available to download through the Wayback Machine. Some of these lost-to-time games can only be seen, at the moment, through his channel.

If you want to play his still-available games, set up the slide show to full-screen kiosk mode, they weren't set up like this. Most of the available games seem rather decent, you can find some simple and interactive character-jumping-in-trampoline games and also some maze games.

Chroma Key | Global Game Jam

This one is a point-and-click adventure game, it has a very distinct artistic style, keyword, HAND DRAWN.

And the devs are absolutely correct in their game's description, because at the end, I asked myself, "What now?"

So the game that got me started down my PPT gaming journey was a project called My-N-Craft. A few years ago I re-remembered it and managed to re-discover the project and find a copy of the game. Here's the link to it:

@PPT Dev - you made great games then when at the time I couldn't do more with PPT than design a nice opening slide for a typical slide show

Hey thanks! The game I shared wasn't made by me (though by the time I discovered this game online I had already made a few games and animations), it's simply the game that made my brain turn over and over again trying to figure out how it implemented all of the features it had. It's what ultimately led me to the discovery of VBA.

I've been taking on quite an interest in narrative based games, so yeah! My studies are coming along pretty well I think, still don't have anything to show here in this community though xd

Haha that's totally fine. I'm currently working on a TBS RPG game and I don't really have anything to show for it either (unless you want to watch my stream VODs), so I know the feeling. Keep at it! You can do it

My obsession for powerpoint game creation stems from this tutorial (its not in english, but there's a mediafire download link for the file at the end of the article if you wanna check it out).

The graphic for this looked so slick for something made in 2011, at least for 5th grade me at the time. Arguably, it has influenced the maze games I created over the years. In fact, you can still see its influence on my game from how the laser beam shape in my maze game is an exact copy from here. Oh and also, the buttons! My maze game has buttons because this one has it! A brilliant addition to the concept, I must say.

I stand on the shoulder of giants. I hope I can someday inspire people like this as well.
