A 'PowerPoint thing' is that the cursor has to move onto another object to detect the collision. If you keep the cursor stationary, any number of objects can move over it without registering as a collision. A lot of maze games work on the assumption that not too many players will know this.

That's exactly my observation.
Thanks for confirming!

May I ask you for one last bit of advice regarding triggers?
I studied hard your 1-slider maze.
Still can't come to grasps with triggers.
I need them specifically for my slides to start anew with animations.
If I get to understand triggers I will creatively put them to use.
You can see what I mean in the new maze I'm working on.
The dowload to the .ppsx file is here.
It's in the building stage so sorry if something crashes or goes wrong.

Something strange is happening here - I keep posting replies and they suddenly disappear!
I'll try again!
I think this maze game works really well!
Even though I know about keeping the cursor stationary, I did chance my luck on occasions and got zapped!
Regarding triggers - I'm going to make / post a mini-tutorial on using them. (I think I'll start a new You Tube series of 'PowerPoint Quick-e' videos. This could be the first!)

The tutorial sounds like what I exactly need!
Especially since there are no examples of using triggers specifically in games.
Looking forward to it John.

All of my games use triggers - lots of them. Every click that makes something happen on a slide will be triggered (if it's in 'Kiosk' mode as most games should be).
Have you checked out CABIN FEVER yet? There are triggers on almost every slide. Here's a snip from the Animation Pane of one of them.
I'm working on the tutorial and hopefully will finish it tomorrow.
(And the next 4 will be on me )

Has the link expired or something? Because now it doesn't show anything.
