I play guitar.
Sat Jan 07, 2023 6:53 pm
I wrote these songs on guitar maybe two years ago.
Then, my friend covered them. His covers are way better than my original recordings.
Just thought I'd share them. Enjoy
If you want to listen to my recordings (the original demos), they're up on my YouTube channel. Here's me:

Friend! These are really good! Have you ever thought about playing on the new-age-ey scene? These PERFECTLY fit said genre!

Maybe I'm getting older, but what's "New Age"? Also, I live in Japan, haha.
I made from fresh 320 kbps mp3s from the original recordings. No YouTube compression.
Enjoy

New Age, also called Ambiant, is a genre of music most commonly associated with meditation, healing-sounds, and various denominations of The Yogi Lifestyle.
Also, thanks for those clips; even the originals sound great! I actually make music myself! Here's my latest cover, even though it was shortened, due to my sequencer running out of time-space:

Sounds good.
Can you export from your sequencer, or do you have to get fancy in order to make a wav file?

Oh! .WAV files are my biggest priority! However, I'm almost out of space on my Dropbox, and I really don't want to create a new account just for one small file. Maybe you could private-message me your email-address, and I could send it to you there?

Thank you; you might want to delete that so people can't spam you now. Just watching-out for your privacy is all. Don't worry, I have it saved offline now.matto wrote:If you have gmail, you can use your google drive and provide a public link for the recipient. : )

Really enjoyed the tracks you posted. Thanks for sharing.
I started strumming a few chords many years ago but haven't progressed very much since. A constant beginner and still struggling with that darned 'f' chord!!

I WOULD still play guitar like I tried but drastically-failed to as a kid, if only there was a way to adjust its tuning for people with Cerebral-Palsy and Hypertension.

I got it. The covers are really nice, but do you write your own original music?

I stink at writing original songs, because whenever I try, it just turns into a paraphrased cover of another song! However, "Both Sides Of Time", which was also in that collection; was actually all mine, and I even featured the voice of my beloved girlfriend in there as well!matto wrote:I got it. The best songs are covers of covers, aren't they? It's hard not to be subconsciously influenced by your idols.
Anyway, I'm curious to know what one of my songs would song like in your mixer.
If you want to try, here are all the tracks separated. The song is in E standard. "Concert tuning" EADGBE
I think my friend used something like a Digitec space station (or whatever was equivalent in the software that he uses) for the spacy chorus effect.

You'd be surprised: the app I use is technically a music-video-game for the Sony PSP(PlayStation Portable), said application developed by Rockstar Games, and going under the official title of "Beaterator". It came-out in 2009, but, as you could hear from my work, it can still be utilised to this day to create very-highly-cinematic-sounding music when fed the correct samples.
Thankfully, I have officially recorded the sounds of my real acoustic-guitar, so this should be quite naturalistic when I'm done re-sequencing it!
Or, instead of working on it from scratch, I could also import the individual tracks you shared with me directly, and then add all sorts of customisable effects to each track, including that magical Chorus effect which I deem I can infer that you love so very much!
Which were you hoping to experience? Me having re-sequenced them using my own samples, or your tracks re-rendered through my engine directly?

Not me. I'm from the country that gave birth to Monty Python. I watched the original shows from 1969 when I was a teenager.
On another fishy note, where I live in Rochford, Essex, we currently have a seal that's got into a small local reservoir via a small river that feeds into it. It's also a fishing lake and it's munching its way through all the fish.
This isn't a koi, but it is (was) still a nice carp.
All attempts to catch the seal and return it to the sea have so far failed.
